Worker: Drysuit repair & polyester/gelcoat work

De Zeeman PRO Belgium NV is part of the De Zeeman PRO N.V., a leading organization with branches in Belgium, France and Germany. We specialize in buying, selling, servicing and repairing professional, military and sport diving equipment plus accessories, as well as hyperbaric & medical equipment and Life support systems. We also provide maintenance training for diving technicians. So we are looking for handy person with a do-mentality.

Job Description:

  • You will perform maintenance & repairs on professional, military & sport diving suits. This work includes :

    • Testing dry suits for tightness
    • Repairing leaks in suits, whether neoprene, latex or trilaminate
    • Replacing parts of suits such as cuffs, neckseals, zippers and boots

  • Polyester and gelcoat work includes :

    • Repair of minor and major damage to the gelcoat and/or polyester structure of diving equipment.

Profile:

  • Relevant experience working with polyester, gelcoat, adhesives and solvents is a plus.
  • You are motivated and have a pronounced sense of safety and responsibility (you realize that lives may depend on the quality of your work)
  • Affinity or experience in diving is a plus (regardless of certification or federation) but not a requirement.
  • You have a willingness and interest in learning the job.
  • You can work independently at the same time and have no problem following instructions.
  • You are flexible in terms of task content and can organize and schedule your own work.
  • You work accurately, orderly and communicate smoothly with other colleagues.
  • Knowledge of English & French is a plus (reading)
